Charity Miles is an app that makes donations to charities based on your movement and exercise. This app has 4.8 stars on the app store and 60k ratings! I downloaded this app to get an accurate review. So far, it’s easy to navigate and signing up only takes a couple minutes. It allows you to choose a cause you would like your proceeds to go to. I chose She's the First, a charity that believes “every girl, no matter where she is born, deserves to be educated, respected, and heard.” Charity Miles' website is also very easy to navigate and provides all kinds of information about their cause, how to sponsor, and what they’ve accomplished using this app. So far, they’ve raised over $2,750,000 through the app. Overall, I think it's a great app with a great cause, it was well designed, and it helps motivate people into exercising while simultaneously helping people in need.

Our task was to create a logo for a made-up food based business using Adobe Illustrator. First, I looked at various, big-brand logos to get an idea of what a successful logo looked like. There was a wide range in terms of simplicity and I knew I wanted to be on the simpler side. I personally love smoothies and thought it would be fun to come up with a smoothie business. Based on the smoothie idea, I wanted to make the logo colorful because they are made of many colorful fruits. I played around with the shape of a smoothie cup and straw using different shapes and even tried making one out of sliced fruit (but that idea ended up being too complicated). These are some of my sketches from my brainstorming process. My "business" sells organic smoothies that are made right in front of you so you know it's fresh. People of all ages love smoothies, so the target audience would be anyone! The name is true to its philosophy: we just sell simple smoothies made from fresh fruit. The logo’s final product turned out great in my opinion. I personally love the color scheme and think it blends well together. The logo itself is really geometrical with the main parts being made of rectangles and circles. One thing I learned using adobe illustrator was how to make the text wrap around the circle in an arched position, I did this so the words would go along with and fit in between the two circles. Overall, this was a fun assignment to complete and I ended up learning a lot.
